Safety Program

It is the policy of Balanced Environments to strive for the safest possible performance wherever any of our employees work.

Safety is as critical to BE operations as planning, scheduling, or billing. It is an integral part of the each and every work activity and every routine operation. our firm belief is that accidents are preventable, and that it is the inherent responsibility of each employee to practice safety as routine part of his/her daily work.

Balanced Environments is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and job site; and to protecting the public against any potential hazard caused by our operations.

Our fully executed, in-house, “Safety & Loss Program” is acknowledged and followed by all BE employees.

Production Crew Safety – LS Training System

Production Crew training
Web-based safety training program
Employs video series reviews and testing
Complete monitoring
Manages records of employee results and proficiency
Bi-lingual training
Individual modules for all types of landscape maintenance and construction equipment

Driving Testing

In collaboration with State Auto Insurance, this program provides periodic on-the-road driving training and testing for key personnel.

Tail-Gate Safety Talks

This program includes weekly crew meetings at job sites for seasonal and site specfic training utilizing programs presented by industry organizations such as NALP, ILCA, and WLCA.SIMA

National Safety Awards

The Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA) presents 25 national Safety Awards to companies able to present exceptional safety procedures and execution throughout the year.

The national recipients have included Balanced Environments and our partner company, Hard Surface Solutions every year since 2012.
